Two are Better Than One

A Beautiful Knot has Been Tied

I had the privilege of watching my beautiful niece, Kelsey-Rae marry the love of her life, Drew Robinson this past weekend.  Kelsey and Drew met almost 5 years ago when she started attending the University of North Texas.  On September 15, 2013 they joined their lives together in holy matrimony.

Kelsey and Drew have been life long servants of Christ and love the Lord with all their hearts.  I believe Christ has a special blessing for them and I pray they will continue to serve, love and honor Christ through their vows and love for each other.

It was so much fun to see family I hadn't seen for many years and even family I have seen a lot of in recent years as well.  We laughed and cried and just had a great time.  What a blessing is was!!

Congratulations Kelsey and Drew!

Sneak Peek

WE DID IT!

On May 29th Pete and I had our wedding.  We were surrounded by almost all our loved ones.  We had friends and family come to share in our special day.  As many of you already know,  Pete and I were legally married in December in a little civil ceremony room downtown.   But we knew we wanted to share our day with friends and family, the dress, the tux, cake, dancing etc etc...and NOW it feels real!!!  What a beautiful evening it was.  My bestest guy of all, my son, Josh, walked me down the aisle, our kids stood up for us, and the room was filled with people we love, who in turn, love us back.  Heather Way, Pete's niece and professional photographer captured our night with her expertise but we'll have to wait for those to come.  In the meantime, I'm posting some pics taken by some of our guests.

Moving right along...

The Countdown Begins

Less than one month to go till the wedding!  I can't believe it's almost time.  We are so excited but nervous at the same time.  I have all the major stuff i.e. photographer, D.J., menu, hair appts, etc...scheduled and set.  Decorations, cake, tux, bouquet, and yes the dress is finally bought.  I procrastinated long enough.  I did it!  I didn't realize there was so much to do, to buy, to sample, to decide on.  Wowzers!!!  I just hope the bridal party is working on things from their end.  It's hard to coordinate wedding arrangements from one state to another but surprisingly it's worked out quite well...so far!

Today I even got most everything packed securely in boxes for the long drive to Idaho. I've invaded my guest/craft room with boxes galore.   I still have a few more odds and ends to tie up, but THANKFULLY I see light at the end of the tunnel.

I feel so fantastically blessed to be celebrating this special day with so many of those I love with all my heart...I have the man of my dreams, the love of a lifetime and a family I cherish with all my soul.  Thank you precious Lord for giving me the desires of my heart.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kaschmitter

AND TWO BECOME ONE

On December 17, 2010 my dreams came true...Pete and I were married.  We didn't have the big wedding yet, that comes in May, in Idaho with all our friends and family.

Pete proposed to me on December 5, 2010 at our most favorite Sushi restaurant.  Every Sunday, as many of you know, Pete and I go out for Sushi after church.  This particular Sunday was no exception.  As we sat at the Sushi bar chitchatting with our chef Pete reached for my hand, told me how much he loved me and how happy he was to have found me, then slowly slipped a ring on my finger and asked me to be his wife.  I was speechless and shocked.  Pete and I never discussed marriage.  We both knew it would probably happen "someday" but we didn't talk about it at all.  So as I sat there in disbelief he wondered if I was going to answer him.  Of course I said "YES!!"

The next step...when? and where?  We agreed we wanted to be married with all our children and family and friends around us but we didn't want to wait so long.  We decided to have the legal civil ceremony here in Vegas on December 17th and plan the big shabang for Idaho.  We decided on May.  Preparations are moving right along and we are counting down  the days.
