A New Season Begins

What happened to summer? Why did it pass so quickly?

I love the summer time. It is my most favorite season of the year. I love everything about it, the heat, the sun, the green trees, the flowers, blue skies and summer sunsets. I love also that the days are long. I love waking to sunshine and how the evenings last longer. There are so many things to do outside, even on the hottest of days. I enjoy going and splashing about the river with Josh, swimming in the pool or sitting in the misters talking with friends. But, the time has come to prepare for the cold. I so wish it was summer for longer than 3 months, can't winter and summer change places? Don't get me wrong...I like the snow but the cold just lingers waaay too long, the days are so short and it seems to take so long for the warmth of the sun to finally break through. I know, I skipped Fall. The Fall season is beautiful at first and then suddenly the gray, drab, and leafless trees are a reminder of the long cold ahead. Can you tell I don't like to be cold?
Hopefully this will be a mild winter and as fast as time has been flying by I know it won't be long till I sit in the summer's warmth and beauty.

Game Day

Today Boise State Broncos play against Miami (Ohio) Redhawks, not to be mistaken for Miami, Florida. We haven't played them before but they don't look tough. I'm sure this will be an easy win. For those of you who live here you already know the stuff I'm about to say...for those of you who have the misfortune NOT to live in our great state of Idaho this may or may not be news to you. Idaho is too small a state, population-wise to be able to support pro teams of any kind. Idaho has a total population of approx 1.5 million people. SO, with that said...Boiseians are true blue fans of the Boise State University football team. We are so proud of our boys in blue and orange and it shows. Days prior to a game we all drive around with our flags blowing in the wind, we wear our BSU gear and Bronco chatter is heard everywhere. Check out their web site for all the details. Today I'm announcing my LOVE for Haribo Raspberries Gummi's. I first fell in love with them a looooooong time ago while visiting family in Mexico. The one's in Mexico weren't Haribo brand but still they were deeeelicious.
